The Many Details of Weddings

By Guest Blogger, Kylie Chase

This week of wedding planning we’re working to put together our “welcome bags.” When putting these together I like to think about what is personal and practical- considering many guests are traveling. In our case, I’m planning to do boxes. The welcomes boxes will greet each guest at their hotel upon arrival and provide a warm welcome to Winston-Salem. We want the boxes to reflect our lives both individually and together; therefore, we’ve selected items that represent our hometowns, current city and favorite pastime. We’re supporting local businesses by having C. Creative Co. create custom playing cards and purchasing “Winston-Salem” postcards from Camel City Goods.  We also plan to give our guests some sweet treats – Moravian Sugar Cookies from Dewey’s Bakery to celebrate Winston-Salem’s Moravian history and GooGoo Clusters which are crafted in my fiancé’s hometown of Nashville, TN. The items will be presented in a white gable box with a dusty blue ribbon to tie into the overall wedding color scheme. I can’t wait to see them come together!
