It’s Mallory’s turn for camp! After watching Lilly go and come from Camp Seafarer since she was a baby, plus a one-summer COVID-19 delay, Mallory’s first Seafarer Adventure is about to begin. Lilly’s camp stash of Seafarer logo merchandise (some now vintage from a YMCA rebranding campaign) has been raided, the Target run is done, and the big duffle is packed with the essentials from the packing list and a whole host of stuffed animals. And of course, boppy, the tangle of strings that were once Mallory’s blanket. My biggest fear is that most treasured item will be lost or discarded like a rag or large dust ball. Oh, lovely counselors, there is no training adequate for the mission to find boppy when she is lost. Camp is only 5 days, so we pre-mailed the letters and hope they will arrive daily in somewhat equal measure. Now that drop-off is complete, we take a deep breath, rest, and wait for the Bunk1 photos to be posted to see what’s happening with our little camper! More to Come!
